Cairns Residence
In what has been a career defining project, I have been working continually on this project for the past 9 years. My clients initially engaged me to assist on their master suite extension project when I was a Senior Interior Designer at John Croft Design.
Over the past 9 years, my clients and I have enthusiastically worked together to slowly redesign and redecorate the entire property. The sprawling home is situated in far north Queensland, overlooking the city of Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef.
The areas that I have worked on include the main house, a master suite extension, two private guest houses and an exceptional outdoor entertainment area and swimming pool. I have also been involved in many building and renovation projects on the property, where I have designed and specified all building works.
My clients have a strong interest in colour and pattern, which has allowed me to design rooms in bold shades of aqua, yellow, moss green and cerulean blue.
My clients entrusted me with full control over every single design and decorative decision, which has allowed me to inject the signature OMI style through the use of beautiful fabrics, rugs, furniture, wallpaper, lighting, artwork and accessories.
The result is a home that exudes liveability, warmth, individuality, interest and above all else – comfort.
