Camp Hill Residence

This beautifully appointed property has all the desirable features a quintessential Queensland Bungalow home should have.

Located in the leafy suburb of Camp Hill, Brisbane, the home has been renovated to suit the needs of modern day living while keeping its original and timeless character.

The thoughtful layout effortlessly invites you from one room to another with beautifully crafted leadlight windows, ornate plaster work, custom VJ panelling and timber floors throughout.

I was fortunate to have a very open brief for this project. It was obvious that the style of the interior was going to be dictated by the architectural detail. My clients offered some suggestion towards colour selection, and from then on, they entrusted me to bring all the aspects of this project together. As this was my clients’ retirement home, I was able to add finishes and fabrics that wouldn’t normally be suitable for a busy family home. The main living area had to be practical to withstand the many grandchildren that often came to visit the house, but the more formal style rooms certainly had a more sophisticated and quiet elegance. Each room of the home was completely decorated with the supply of custom-made furniture, rugs, fabrics, art, accessories and beautifully detailed soft furnishings and window treatments.

The overall aesthetic that I created was a classic style interior that respected the traditional design of the home, while incorporating fresh modern touches to add the much-desired requirement of comfort.
