Chelmer Residence
Situated in the beautiful leafy suburb of Chelmer, my clients Southampton style home was a pleasure to work on. Having previously worked on my clients home over the years, the most recent project was to redecorate an existing living room.
Creating a sense of familiarity from my client's much-loved home in South Africa allowed me to incorporate existing furniture and artwork to create a comfortable and cosy living room.
The core of the scheme was kept neutral through the use of natural grass-cloth wallpaper, off-white sheer curtains and neutral upholstery. Interest and pattern was added through scatter cushions, a feature armchair and my clients existing artwork.
This project is an excellent example of how existing furniture, artwork and accessories can cleverly be reinterpreted to create a fresh and dynamic interior.
